The 70th AMOTA Meeting

The 70th AMOTA General Meeting attended by 27 members was held on 12th March 2000 at the Olympic Memorial Youth Center in Tokyo.
Below presentations were given.

1. The Results of the Arranged Data for Geminids and Quadrantids.

The data as same as the averaged year was obtained at both Geminids 1999 and Quadrantids 2000. For the Quadrantids, little earlier peak time was obtained.

4. The Relation Between the Apex and the Minor Meteor Showers.

The probability of the apparent radiant points made by the effects of the revolution of the Earth was studied.

5. Private Impressions about the Giacobinids and Leonids in both 1998 and 1999.

The highest activity of HR was just obtained at the Giacobinids in 1998.

6. The Report of the Meeting of the Meteor Observations in Tokai Area.

There were so much high school students in that meeting.

7. The Video Projection for the Total Solar Eclipse in 1999.

The Video image of the total eclipse gained in Rumania which won the educational prize in Miyagi Pref. was presented.

The Junior Session in the Nippon Tenmon Gakkai was established.

9. The Report for the Presentation of the Meeting at Washington D.C.

She reported the relationship of CMEs (; coronal mass ejections) and large- scale transequatorial coronal loops.
